Meet Andy

As a little kid I was a big fan of Captain Kangaroo and in 1966 my two brothers and I won a Halloween costume contest for dressing the parts. That’s my brother Scott on the right in the photo, dressed as the captain. Steve, on the left, is Dancing Bear. And there I am in the center, little Andy, dressed as Bunny Rabbit. My mom likes to tell the story of me sleeping with those carrots until they became rubbery.

Growing up, I think I retained some of my best child-like qualities. I like to smile and make people laugh. I try not to take myself too seriously. I believe that people are inherently good.
